Burpengary Police Station Project
A local service project
In 2023, together with Burpengary Police Station, Zonta Club of Caboolture assisted to revamp a room “soft room” used to interview victims of crimes including domestic violence. We helped to make the room a more comfortable and welcoming safe place for women and children.
Additionally, Zonta members refreshed the garden at Burpengary Police Station. We planted flowers donated by Bunnings Morayfield. Orange pavers were laid in the shape of Z symbolising “Zonta says NO to domestic violence” and also in recognition and support for all who have experienced domestic violence.

Our Local Service Projects
Breast Cushions
The wonderful Beachmere Bay Craft Group in Palm Lakes Resort, Beachmere, assist us by cutting out and sewing the cushions before we have a working bee to stuff the cushions, seal them and package them ready to be delivered to local hospitals. Women who have had breast surgery are very grateful for the gift to help them recover from surgery.
Centre Against Domestic Abuse
Zonta Caboolture continues to support the Centre Against Domestic Abuse operating locally by providing:
- donations of petrol and food vouchers, and
- producing information magnets and safety cards relating to domestic violence.

Ongoing Support for Domestic Violence Victims
Zonta Caboolture has extended its project with Burpengary Police Station and now supports Caboolture Police Station and the victims of domestic violence that require their support and services.
We provide supplies for the Safe or Soft room at the police stations where interviews take place. Monthly donations include blankets, pillows, colouring books and pencils for the young children who are impacted by domestic violence. These donations are provided to the children when they visit the Safe or Soft room.
If you would like to contribute to this project contact us or make a donation.

Our International Service Projects

Birthing Kits
Zonta Birthing Kits help reduce the risk of infection and bleeding for women giving birth and the risk of death. We buy the kits for $5 each from Birthing Kits Foundation Australia and assemble them ready to be shipped around the world.
